According to the Bali regional office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, immigration officials initiated administrative measures against the two Dutch nationals after a community gathering organized under the banner of an entourage run sparked widespread local criticism. The Ministry confirmed that formal travel bans are being processed to bar the pair from re-entering Indonesia once deportation procedures conclude.

State-run news agency ANTARA reported that the event bypassed mandatory administrative oversight required for public gatherings involving foreign nationals.

Bali Governor Sang Made Mahendra Jaya addressed the incident directly, vowing that authorities will prevent foreign-only events from operating without permits in the future.
