MHP Expands European Footprint with Grupo UVESA Acquisition

Madrid, Spain – August 4, 2025 – Baker McKenzie client, MHP, has finalized the acquisition of over 92% of Grupo UVESA, a leading vertically integrated poultry and pork producer in Spain. This strategic move considerably expands MHP’s presence in both the European and Middle Eastern markets.
The complex, multi-year transaction concluded following the share purchase agreement signed in March 2025 and subsequent receipt of all necessary antitrust and foreign subsidies clearances from relevant jurisdictions, including the European Commission.
