Bailey Ober Returns to Twins Roster: Start vs. Cleveland

Bailey Ober is set to rejoin the Minnesota Twins‘ pitching rotation, making his return to the mound against the Cleveland Guardians on Saturday. The right-handed pitcher had been on the 15-day injured list for a month due to left hip impingement.

During his IL stint,Ober made two appearances for the Triple-A St. paul Saints, showcasing strong form with a 1.00 ERA, allowing just six hits, one walk, and striking out nine batters over his outings. Prior to his injury, Ober had a significant role for the Twins, starting 17 games. In those starts, he recorded a 4-6 record with a 5.28 ERA, giving up 21 home runs, issuing 22 walks, and accumulating 74 strikeouts.

Ober’s return comes at a time when the Twins have made extensive roster adjustments following recent trade deadline activity. Notably, the team did not need to make a corresponding roster move to accommodate Ober’s activation, as they had already streamlined their 26-person roster.
