Bai Bingbing Launches Faith-Filled Drama Amidst Societal Concerns

New Series “God Knows” Aims to Inspire, Producer Reflects on Current Events

Producer and artist Bai Bingbing has unveiled her latest project, the Taiwanese drama “God Knows,” a series she hopes will deliver a message of faith and hope.

Drama Premieres, Producer Shares Vision

The highly anticipated 7-point drama “God Knows,” which centers on the Xuantian God saving the world and transforming violence, premiered today. At the event, Bai Bingbing was joined by lead actors, including Weng Jiaming, Lin Yifang, Ni Qimin, Ge Zhaoen (known as Baodie), and national Taekwondo player Hu Zixuan, to celebrate the series’ launch.

Bai Bingbing has invested approximately NT$60 million into the production, emphasizing her commitment to creating a positive and touching narrative imbued with faith. She highlighted the opportunity provided to a large cast of emerging actors.

“Newcomers are not afraid of you being strict, but are afraid that you will give up teaching them,” Bai Bingbing stated, underscoring her hands-on approach with the cast. She admitted to maintaining strict standards, offering patient guidance, kind advice, and necessary reprimands.

Actor Ge Zhaoen, who recently transitioned from military service, expressed his gratitude to Bai Bingbing, calling her his “noble person” in acting. He shared that she encouraged him to pursue acting when he was contemplating a behind-the-scenes career, and that during filming, she never scolded him.

Bai Bingbing specifically praised veteran actress Fang Wenlin for her exceptional acting skills, noting her ability to cry on cue without the need for coaxing.

Societal Reflection and Call for Law Enforcement

In response to a recent murder in a Taipei shopping mall parking lot, Bai Bingbing commented, “God knows everything, don’t do any evil.” She mentioned receiving many “election” opportunities but declined them, preferring to promote her message through her work.

The artist added, “Society must be good, and only strictly enforce the law. The law is the last line of defense for people’s lives and property.” Studies have shown that effective law enforcement can deter crime. For instance, a 2022 analysis by the RAND Corporation indicated that community-oriented policing strategies can lead to reduced crime rates and improved public trust (RAND Corporation, 2022).
