Bach of the Morning with Vadym Kholodenko | France Musique

The Ukrainian pianist Vadym Kholodenko’s performance of Bach’s Concerto in F major, BWV 971, was featured this morning on France Musique, according to a broadcast heard Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

The performance, the second movement of the concerto, was presented as part of the program “Le Bach du matin,” according to Radio France. Kholodenko recorded the perform as part of his “Concours Schubert Dortmund 2011” album.

Kholodenko’s appearance on France Musique comes amid a broader focus on Ukrainian artists and cultural events, as evidenced by a concert held in April 2022 featuring pianists Vadym Kholodenko, Alena Baeva, and Ivan Karizna in support of peace in Ukraine, at the Musée Guimet in Paris. That event, organized by the Pianissimes, redirected ticket sales to donations for the Fondation de France.

Elsewhere on France Musique today, altist Paul Zientara released a new recording of Brahms with pianist Arthur Hinnewinckel. Zientara is scheduled to perform at the Festival de Pâques d’Aix-en-Provence with Renaud Capuçon.

Radio France is also celebrating composer Georges Aperghis, whom they describe as one of the inventors of musical theatre, with the 2026 edition of the Festival Présences.
