Ava Max – KiLL it QUEEN: New Song & Creative Control After Label Exit

February 26, 2026 Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor Entertainment

Pop singer Ava Max released her new single, “KiLL it QUEEN,” on February 25, 2026, marking a new chapter in her career following her departure from a previous record label. The song is available on all major streaming platforms, according to Just Jared.

Max described the single as a personal statement, telling Just Jared, “I’m telling my story my way.” She added that the creative process felt empowering and reinvigorating, and that she believes this energy is evident in the song. “’KiLL it QUEEN’ is for anyone who wants to feel unstoppable,” Max said.

The release of “KiLL it QUEEN” similarly signifies a shift in Max’s professional life, as she now has full creative control over her music and is working with a new team, a press release stated. The chorus of the song includes the lyrics, “She’s an angel, yeah, baby, go off / Hit your angles, yeah, baby, demonstrate off / Break a leg, darling, it’s your scene / And kill it, kill it, kill it, kill it / Kill it, kill it, kill it, kill it, queen.”

The song appears to be the lead single from Max’s fourth studio album, continuing themes explored in her previous hit, “Kings & Queens,” according to Genius.

A lyric video for “KiLL it QUEEN” is available on YouTube, and the song is also available for purchase on 12” 1LP Translucent Red vinyl through the Ava Max store, according to YouTube.
