Earthshine Illuminates Moon’s Dark Side Ahead of New Moon Phase
As teh moon approaches its New Moon phase, a subtle glow known as Earthshine, or the Da Vinci Glow, will be visible on the shadowed portion of its disk. This phenomenon occurs when sunlight reflects off Earth’s surface and illuminates the unlit lunar surface, a celestial display that can be observed on nights just before and after the New moon.
