INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) – A rare touchdown catch by Tutu Atwell capped a furious rally as the Los angeles Rams defeated the Indianapolis Colts 24-22 on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025. The Rams overcame a 16-point deficit in the second half.
Atwell, who had a 63-yard touchdown reception from Matthew Stafford with 4:07 remaining, finished with three catches for 83 yards.Stafford completed 22 of 35 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns. Puka Nacua also had a touchdown catch for the Rams.
The Colts’ Jonathan taylor had a 53-yard rushing touchdown nullified by a holding call on teammate Jake Mitchell with 2:15 left to play.
Anthony Richardson threw for 183 yards and one touchdown for the Colts. Michael Pittman Jr. had a touchdown reception. Gardner Minshew replaced Richardson late in the fourth quarter.
Indianapolis quarterback Anthony Richardson threw two interceptions, the first and last drives of the game ending with turnovers. Richardson completed 16 of 28 passes. Colts rookie tight end Tyler Warren scored his first career rushing touchdown in the second quarter.
Jones passed for 262 yards for the Colts, going 24 of 33.
