Atresmedia is bolstering its original content slate with the upcoming premieres of “33 Days” and the second volume of “La Ruta,” titled “La Ruta. Vol. 2: Ibiza.” Both series will be showcased at Iberseries & Platino Industria on September 30th.
The Spanish media group’s streaming platform, Atresplayer, has rapidly become a key player in Spanish fiction, releasing more original series than any other platform in spain. “La Ruta.Vol. 2: Ibiza” unfolds across two timelines – 1996 and the early 1970s – centering on DJ Marc Ribó and exploring themes of legacy and intergenerational values. The six-episode season was directed by Borja Soler and filmed in the Valencian Community and the balearic Islands.
“La Ruta. Vol. 2: Ibiza” stars Alex Monner, Manuel Irene School, Lucía Martín-Abelló, fernando Delgado-Hierro, and Fernanda Orazi, with returning cast members from the first season. “33 Days” joins the lineup alongside Atresplayer premium exclusives such as “Poison,” “Foque: The New Generation,” “Thistle,” “The Gypsy Bride,” and “Drag Race Spain.”
Looking ahead to 2025,Atresplayer’s original productions will expand to include “mariliendre,” “The Great Leap,” “Mar Outside,” and “The Daughters of the Maid,” slated for release in November. Atresplayer’s commitment to original content is aimed at attracting and retaining premium subscribers.
