PlayStation 5 offers near-full backwards compatibility with PlayStation 4, but Sony has confirmed a list of several games that faced some issues on PS5. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate appeared on the list – the game on the current-gen console was even described as a “visual mess”.
While playing the 2015 production, players may notice flickering textures, disappearing elements or strange refraction of shadows. The developers have been dealing with the problem for a long time, but have just confirmed the positive news.
“We are pleased to announce that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will receive an update tomorrow, February 23rd on PlayStation 4. This patch will fix the flickering issue when playing on PlayStation 5. #AssassinsCreed.”

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate still hasn’t received full support for current-gen consoles, and probably the game set in London will never receive a proper patch, but as you can see, the developers found time to eliminate the inconvenience.
It is worth recalling that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is scheduled to premiere in 2023, but we still do not know the final release date of the adventure.
