Asiago Nightclub Closed: Drugs Found & Safety Issues at “Snoopy” & “Le Melette”

February 25, 2026 Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor Health

A nightclub in Asiago, Italy, has been temporarily shut down after police discovered marijuana on the premises and uncovered safety violations during a coordinated series of inspections across the province of Vicenza. The crackdown, conducted Saturday, comes in the wake of a deadly incident in Crans Montana, Switzerland, and follows directives from the Italian Ministry of the Interior to increase oversight of nightlife establishments.

The “Snoopy” discotheque was immediately suspended from operation after officers found 1.94 grams of marijuana hidden on the furniture, according to authorities. The Fiamme Gialle, Italy’s financial police, seized the drugs. A separate altercation between two patrons – a 36-year-old man from Feltre and a 24-year-old from Rovereto – broke out during the inspection and was quickly contained by police, and Carabinieri. Both individuals will be reported to authorities.

Fire department officials, participating in the coordinated inspections, identified several safety deficiencies at the Snoopy, including a pellet stove located within the dance floor area and a general lack of adherence to fire safety regulations. Asiago’s municipal administration and the Vicenza police department subsequently issued a joint order suspending the club’s activities. Another Asiago establishment, Taverna, was inspected and found to be in compliance with regulations.

In Gallio, at a location known as “Le Melette,” inspectors identified irregularities concerning emergency exits. During the inspection, the manager of the establishment reportedly threw a water bottle at the officers in protest. This behavior is now under review by the administrative police division of the Vicenza police department, and the Comune di Gallio will evaluate the safety concerns based on documentation to be submitted.

Throughout the province-wide operation, police identified 82 individuals, including 11 with prior criminal records. Highway patrol officers similarly checked 21 vehicles, issuing citations for seatbelt violations.
