Arunachal Pradesh Braces for Week-Long Rainfall and Thunderstorm Spell

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast predicting a fresh spell of rainfall and thunderstorms across Arunachal Pradesh, beginning Monday and extending throughout the week. The intensity of the precipitation will vary across different regions of the state.
Monday’s Forecast: Widespread Showers Expected
According to a bulletin released by the meteorological center, Monday is anticipated to bring fairly widespread rainfall across Arunachal pradesh.Districts including East Siang, Lower Dibang Valley, Changlang, Lohit, and Namsai are particularly likely to experience meaningful showers, possibly accompanied by localized thunderstorms.
‘Watch’ Advisory Issued for Key Districts
An advisory has been issued for residents in parts of Tawang, East Kameng, Lower Subansiri, Kra Daadi, Kamle, Lower Siang, Lepa Rada, and Papum Pare. These areas are under a ‘watch’ due to the possibility of thunder accompanied by heavy rainfall.
Mid-Week Dip, followed by Intensification
Rainfall activity is expected to decrease slightly on Tuesday, with most districts receiving only isolated to scattered showers or thunderstorms. The central belt, encompassing Upper Subansiri, West Siang, and portions of Lower Subansiri, will likely see the most limited precipitation.
Strengthening Wet Spell from Wednesday
The forecast indicates a resurgence of the wet spell starting Wednesday. Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall is predicted, with a focus on Tawang, West Kameng, East Kameng, Lower Subansiri, Kurung Kumey, Kra Daadi, Papum pare, and Changlang.
