Artist Riwon Kim Debuts Flower Dream Series at FOCUS Art Fair London 2026
“Through clouds and flowers, I visualized the individual’s emotions and inner landscape, allowing viewers to reflect on their own experiences and recall their personal sanctuary,” artist Riwon Kim said regarding her new works.
Painter, art director, and actor Riwon Kim presented her new “Hwamong (Flower Dream) Series” as an invited artist at FOCUS Art Fair London 2026, tnnews.co.kr reported.
The contemporary art event took place from October 15 to 18, 2026, at the Saatchi Gallery in London. This year’s fair operated under the theme “Cultural Dialogue.” The venue has established a reputation for spotlighting emerging creators and hosting contemporary exhibitions. British art figures such as Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin share historical ties to the location.
FOCUS Art Fair functions as an international platform designed to foster connections across national and industrial boundaries. Participants at the 2026 event included creators from Asia, Europe, and other global regions. Exhibited mediums ranged from traditional crafts to artificial intelligence digital art.
Kim’s newly unveiled series uses cloud and flower imagery to construct internal landscapes. The skies depicted in the works represent spaces free from everyday constraints. Floating clouds within the compositions signify an enduring self that adapts while maintaining its core identity.
Flowers blooming in distinct forms from a single branch symbolize coexisting inner dreams and potential. The visual overlap of reality, surrealism, and geometric structures aims to provide a psychological space focused on healing and renewal. The artist previously exhibited her “Archangel Series” at the same London gallery during the preceding year’s fair.
Kim maintains an active exhibition schedule across multiple international art markets. Her past venues include Paris, New York, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Japan, China, and Singapore. Recognition for her work includes an Artist of the Year prize at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, a grand prize at the Klimt Awards in Austria, and a top excellence award at the Takusei Art Association Exhibition in Japan.
Alongside her visual art practice, Kim holds qualifications as an art psychological counselor, color psychological counselor, and personal color marketing specialist. Her global itinerary includes previous solo exhibitions in New York and Brunei. Following the London showcase, she has scheduled an additional solo exhibition for December.
“In London, a major city of contemporary art, when works by creators with different cultures, histories, and life experiences meet in a single space, new perspectives and dialogues begin,” Kim stated.
