Appliance Bonus Applications Surge, Funding Reached Limit
Rome, italy – Within hours of launching this morning, approximately 550,000 applications for Italy‘s appliance bonus have been submitted via the IO app and the bonuselettrodomestici.it website, fully utilizing the allocated €48.1 million fund. The Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy (Mimit) confirmed the rapid uptake, stating the platform is now processing applications and establishing a waiting list based on submission order.
The initial rollout experienced technical difficulties as both the app and website faced temporary outages due to overwhelming demand. These issues were resolved, allowing users to continue submitting requests.
The bonus provides a discount of up to 30% on appliance purchases, capped at a maximum of €100 per household. However, families wiht an ISEE (Equivalent economic Situation Indicator) of less than €25,000 per year are eligible for a doubled discount of up to €200.
Applications are limited to adult citizens and will be accepted on a first-come,first-served basis until all funds are depleted. Those submitting applications after the funding limit is reached will be placed on the waiting list and considered in chronological order. The initiative will conclude once available resources are tired.
