Apple Sauce Releases Guerrilla Kebab Single From New Album Hybris
Italian experimental metal band Apple Sauce released their second single, “Guerrilla Kebab”, on October 23, as reported by metalitalia.com. The track serves as the second excerpt from their upcoming studio album, Hybris, scheduled for release on November 20.
Daily Life Realities and Surreal Humor in Guerrilla Kebab
The new single tackles everyday contradictions and the financial pressures of the rising cost of living through a blend of surreal humor, meme culture, and scathing comedy. The track develops in a chaotic and paranoid atmosphere that recalls the suggestions of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
Accompanying the audio release, the official music video magnifies the grotesque and absurd elements of the project. The visuals draw inspiration from Monty Python-esque absurdity combined with the hallucinated drives of a late-night road movie. Apple Sauce handled the video’s concept directly, while Stefano Galli directed and Matteo Bruseghini managed the cinematography.
The Road to Hybris and Previous Collaborations
The rollout for Hybris began earlier with the single “‘Nduja No Kami”, which featured a guest appearance by Jørgen Munkeby of Shining. That initial track premiered via The Progspace, laying the groundwork for a promotional campaign characterized by unpredictable artistic choices, expressive freedom, positive feedback from the public and press, exploring a new side of their musical identity, and spotlighting everyday absurdities through an ironic and provocative perspective.
Hybris stands as the band’s second full-length studio release. The group independently produced the record, while Davide Tavecchia managed the mixing and mastering processes across the album tracks.
Hybris Album Arrives on November 20
Apple Sauce continues to roll out material ahead of the full album launch. Viewers can watch the video online, and the previous excerpt “‘Nduja No Kami” is also available. Fans can access existing tracks and updates through the band’s official profiles on Instagram and Spotify.
The full-length album Hybris arrives on November 20, bringing the current sequence of singles to a close.
