Antonelley lacks confidence after Austria’s penalty that covered his effort in seventh place

The Italian had caused the accident when he closed his rear tires at the third turn and collided with the Versaben, ending the drivers race early. Observers held him full responsibility, and he himself admitted his mistake at the time.

Antonelley in Silverston talked about his lack of confidence after the end of the qualifiers, as it ended about half a second late for the first -starting outlet owner Versaben.

The young Italian said: “I think it was acceptable. It was not an ideal roll, but I suffered throughout the qualifiers in the quick turns – I was facing steadfast problems – and that greatly affected confidence during the share.”

He added: “It was difficult in this respect, especially in the second and third syllables, where I faced clear difficulties. Of course, I am not very happy because I will retreat by the punishment, but we will try to build on that.”

And he added, “I will not mind a rainy start, only to try to win some centers. But we will be ready for any scenario.”

The conditions of the third share of the qualifiers were complex due to light rains and fluctuating winds, which made driving of cars unexpected. Antonelley was seen discussing these circumstances with Versaben before going to the media.

“Things were difficult, especially in the third section of the qualifiers,” he said.

Although his colleague George Russell performed a strong performance he ended the qualifiers in the second row and won the praise of Toto Wolf, who said he “provided more than the car could offer”, Antonelle chose a similar preparation for him, but with some differences that affected his confidence in the rapid turns.

He said: “In terms of streamlining, Russell used to adopt a more offensive preparation from me, but the settings in general were a little different. To be frank, I could not take the same steps in the settings because I was lacking in confidence in the rapid turns.”
