Antalya Man Confesses to⁢ Ex-Wife’s Death, Claims Loss of Control During Argument

antalya, Turkey – A man is in custody after confessing to the ‌death of his ex-wife, Hanım Biçer, in Antalya. The suspect, identified as Hizir Celik, allegedly used a scarf and pillow to⁢ drown Biçer following an argument, according to statements made to authorities.

The incident has deeply‌ impacted⁤ Biçer’s family, with brothers Recep and‍ Resul Biçer visibly distraught while claiming Celik⁤ had a history of manipulative behavior ​and premeditation. The case highlights the tragic consequences ⁣of ⁣domestic disputes and raises concerns about ongoing cycles of abuse. Celik was taken into custody after a⁤ health check and initial questioning, and the investigation is ongoing, with potential charges ⁤including murder.

Resul Biçer stated that Celik ⁢repeatedly attempted to deceive‍ him and his brother, ​claiming ​he was‍ unable to see their children ⁤after the divorce. “Khidr Celik, immediately after the divorce…every time he reaches.⁢ My brother ‘I can not look at⁤ the children’‍ he said. Every time he was trying to deceive,” Resul Biçer recounted.

Recep Biçer alleged the killing was a planned act, stemming from a seven ⁢to eight-year relationship that ultimately failed. ⁢”They threw a slander to my brother. No, ⁢you betrayed me. He made the murder by ⁣planning​ and made a plan consciously,”⁤ he stated.

Following⁤ an autopsy, Hanım Biçer’s body was transported by her brothers and ⁣other relatives to ⁣Varsak Cemetery in the Kepez district for burial.

According​ to initial reports,Hizir Celik admitted to losing control during a discussion of past issues with Biçer. The⁣ couple had separated approximately eight‌ months prior and share two sons,⁢ aged five to ⁣seven. Celik reportedly told authorities he “lost himself” when old topics‍ were ⁣brought up, leading to the fatal incident.
