Yeomans Claims OUA Athlete of the Week Honours
toronto, ON – University of Toronto Varsity blues forward Anne Yeomans has been recognized as the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Athlete of the Week for womenS soccer, the conference announced today, September 16, 2025. The accolade acknowledges Yeomans’ dominant performance over the past weekend,solidifying her position as a key player for the Blues.
Yeomans’ consistent scoring prowess has propelled her to the top of the OUA leaderboard with six goals in just five games this season. The fifth-year engineering student’s recent success is particularly impactful as the Varsity Blues navigate a competitive schedule and aim for a playoff berth. Her ability to deliver crucial goals in key matchups, including a recent rivalry game, underscores her value to the team.
The U of T forward spearheaded a 2-0 victory against the No. 2 nationally ranked Ottawa Gee-Gees on Friday, scoring both goals for the Varsity Blues. She than continued her impressive form on Sunday, netting two goals – one in extra time – during a thrilling 3-3 draw against TMU. This marks the third consecutive game where Yeomans has found the back of the net twice.
