Anduril’s Underwater Warfare Systems Target European Naval Markets

Anduril Pitches Advanced Undersea Warfare Capabilities to European navies,Emphasizing Rapid Deployment and Domestic Production

[City,Date] – Defence technology firm Anduril Industries is actively engaging European navies with its suite of advanced undersea warfare solutions, including teh Seabed Sentry seabed surveillance system and Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs) like Dive-LD and Dive-XL. The company highlights its “off-the-shelf, mature design” approach as a key differentiator, promising to significantly reduce progress and lead times compared to customary, clean-sheet defense programs.

Rich Drake, Anduril’s General Manager for the United Kingdom and Europe, stated that these products offer European navies a pathway to rapidly enhance their underwater capabilities and achieve “underwater mass” in their areas of interest. “Anduril’s products have the opportunity to change the game for European navies, and they can provide European navies the opportunity to achieve mass in their Areas of interest through UUVs and Seabed Sentry,” Drake explained.

The integration of Anduril’s offerings, such as Seabed Sentry and its UUVs,is designed to provide a thorough Intelligence,Surveillance,Reconnaissance, and Targeting (ISR&T) capability.A significant aspect of Anduril’s strategy involves enabling local component or system manufacturing through domestic suppliers. Drake emphasized this commitment to “built in Europe,” noting that the company’s product designs utilize materials that simplify manufacturing and reduce reliance on complex, specialized supply chains. This approach is further underscored by Anduril’s recent partnership with German defense giant Rheinmetall, which will involve the co-production of Barracuda low-cost cruise missiles, Fury unmanned aerial vehicles, and solid rocket motors for European applications.

“If a customer wants to build something domestically, with a localization requirement, the nature of our product avoids exquisite materials to maintain different supply chains to make them easier to manufacture,” Drake elaborated.

While specific customer engagements remain confidential, anduril has confirmed its proposal of the Seabed Sentry system to the Royal Navy. This initiative aligns with the UK’s broader “Atlantic Bastion” effort, which aims to deploy autonomous anti-submarine warfare (ASW) systems in the North Atlantic. Anduril’s UUVs, such as the Dive-LD and Copperhead models, were showcased at Sea Air Space 2025 as integral components of the company’s undersea warfare portfolio.
