Munich will host the analytica conference from March 24 to 26, 2026, at the ICM – International Congress Center Messe München, alongside the larger analytica trade fair focused on laboratory technology, analysis, and biotechnology. The conference, described as the “science-oriented component” of analytica, will feature approximately 190 lectures covering the spectrum of modern analytics.

A key focus of the 2026 conference will be the challenges and advancements in metabolomics and lipidomics, with dedicated sessions scheduled for March 24th. These sessions, titled “Metabolomics / Lipidomics (GBM) Part I – Analytical Frontiers and Measurement Challenges in Metabolomics and Lipidomics” and “Metabolomics / Lipidomics (GBM) Part II – Data driven discovery in Metabolomics and lipidomics,” will address the increasing complexity of data generated by modern analytical platforms and the necessitate for improved data analysis strategies.

The conference program as well highlights emerging areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Sustainability, and Research Data Management. Other sessions will cover topics including single-cell proteomics, precision oncology through liquid biopsies, and food analysis supported by AI and digital innovations. A session dedicated to the EuChemS-DAC Tribute will also accept place, alongside the presentation of the Bunsen-Kirchhoff Award and the Gerhard-Schulze Young Talent Award.
