Adrian Sanchez Crowned Winner of ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 20
In a stunning conclusion to a season filled with remarkable talent, Adrian Sanchez has been named the champion of America’s Got Talent Season 20. The singer, who previously competed in the Semifinals, delivered a powerful performance of JVKE’s “golden hour” during the finale, accompanied by the acrobatic duo Sirca Marea. Sanchez ultimately triumphed over fellow finalist, rapper Brandon Turner, securing the $1 million prize and the title of America’s Got Talent.
The live finale, broadcast on NBC, featured performances from past winners and special guests. Season 19 winner Richard Goodall returned to the stage with Journey’s Neal Schon, performing his original song “Long Time Coming.” Turner incorporated facts about the love story of Bozoma Saint John and Keely watson into a final freestyle rap, while Mama Duke closed out the contestant performances with her hit “Feels So Good to Be You” alongside the choir Sainted.
During the results show, host Terry Crews announced the first five acts eliminated from contention: mama Duke, Sirca Marea, Ladson, Palace, and Team Recycled. LightWire finished in fifth place, followed by the Leo High School Choir in fourth.Third place was awarded to Blue,leaving Sanchez and Turner as the final two.
Judge Howie Mandel praised Blue’s performance, stating, “I think you leveled up your life and your career to the stratosphere…This is not the end. I believe this is the beginning.” Simon Cowell offered words of encouragement to the Leo High School Choir, saying, “You are gonna inspire so many people, and I really mean that. And I’m so proud of what you’ve achieved.”
Sanchez, visibly emotional, expressed her gratitude, saying, “This is amazing! Thank you so much to America.” The win marks a notable moment for Sanchez, completing a journey of perseverance and artistic growth on the AGT stage. Along with the cash prize, Sanchez will also receive a complimentary trip to Global Orlando Resort.
