Altoona Boys Volleyball Wins 3-1 Against Chambersburg | High School Sports
Altoona Area High School’s boys volleyball team secured a 3-1 victory over Chambersburg Tuesday evening at the Altoona Area Fieldhouse, overcoming a mid-match setback to claim the win.
The Mountain Lions took the first two sets with scores of 25-21 and 25-21, establishing an early lead. However, Chambersburg responded strongly, winning the third set 25-11. Altoona rallied in the fourth set, closing out the match with a 25-20 win.
Logan Coldwell led Altoona’s performance with a well-rounded contribution of 12 service points, 10 digs, and six kills. Max Coon also played a key role, delivering 12 service points, 13 assists, five kills, and five digs. Caleb Terza added 12 assists and 12 digs, even as Colson Greenleaf anchored the defense with 18 digs.
Service points for Altoona were distributed among several players, including Coldwell (12), Coon (12), Greenleaf (8), Terza (4), Huey-Kish (3), Keagy (1), and Morrissey (1).
With this win, Altoona’s record improves to 1-2 on the season, while Chambersburg falls to 1-2. The Altoona junior varsity team also achieved a 2-0 victory over Chambersburg, winning the sets 25-20 and 25-12.
Logan Coldwell also competes on the Altoona Varsity Boys Football team, having participated in a 31-21 win against Carlisle High School on October 24, 2025. He also played in a game against Cedar Cliff on October 17, 2025, though the outcome was a loss for Altoona.
Coldwell has also participated in Altoona boys basketball, appearing in 8 games during the 2025-26 season and scoring a total of 1.3 points. His career high in points is 4, achieved on December 1, 2025.
