Alpine secured its first victory in the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship season with a hard-fought win at the 6 Hours of Fuji on September 28, 2025. The No. 36 Alpine A424, piloted by Ferdinand Habsburg, Paul-Loup Chatin, and Charles Milesi, crossed the finish line after 236 laps of racing at Fuji Speedway.
This triumph marks a critically important breakthrough for the French manufacturer, which has faced challenges in its return to the top class of endurance racing. The victory is particularly crucial as the WEC championship heads to Bahrain for the final round of the season, where Alpine will aim to build momentum and potentially challenge for a higher position in the overall standings. The result also shakes up the Hypercar class battle, intensifying the competition among Toyota, Porsche, and Ferrari.
The race saw a strategic battle unfold, with Alpine capitalizing on opportunities and demonstrating strong pace throughout the six hours. Habsburg took the lead in the closing stages, managing the gap to the pursuing No. 7 Toyota GR010 HYBRID driven by Mike Conway, Kamui kobayashi, and Nyck de Vries.
Toyota finished second, with the No. 7 crew completing 236 laps, while the No. 8 Toyota GR010 HYBRID of Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley, and ryo Hirakawa rounded out the podium in third. Porsche’s No. 6 Porsche 963 finished fourth, and the No. 51 Ferrari 499P completed the top five.
