Alice Evans Mourns Brother Tony Following Years-Long Health Struggle
Los Angeles, CA – Actress Alice Evans is grieving the loss of her younger brother, Tony, whom she described as “kind, loyal and funny” in a heartfelt social media post. The news comes as Evans continues to navigate a contentious legal battle following her divorce from actor Ioan Gruffudd.
Evans shared the news on X (formerly twitter), revealing she had considered creating a fake social media account to cope with the grief, but quickly dismissed the idea, stating, “If I did, I am certain I would get confused between the two in the first week and give myself away. I’m terrible at subterfuge.” She emphasized the close bond she shared with Tony, noting, “I don’t think one can deny the resemblance and the fact that we CLEARLY had each other’s backs even many years back.” Evans also acknowledged tony’s youthfulness, adding, ”And that – ok yes I’ll admit it – he is a TINY bit younger.” She encouraged her followers to follow his account, noting he is “a lot taller now,” and concluded with a message of love: ”Love you Tone! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Evans is currently embroiled in a legal dispute with her ex-husband, Ioan Gruffudd, after accusing him of a three-year affair with Bianca Wallace, who is 18 years his junior. The couple separated in January 2021, with Gruffudd subsequently beginning a relationship with Wallace in October of the same year. As then, Evans has publicly criticized their relationship on social media.
Recent court filings revealed Evans’ claims of financial hardship, leading her to seek assistance from friends and launch a GoFundMe campaign which raised $18,000 (£13,354).
Evans and Gruffudd met on the set of 102 Dalmatians over 20 years ago, marrying in Mexico in 2007. Gruffudd filed for divorce in March 2021, and the divorce was finalized in July 2023.
