Support and Prayer for Alex Delgado Ahead of Surgery
Journalist Alex Delgado is preparing to undergo surgery this Monday as he continues treatment for a soft tissue sarcoma. The procedure will focus on a remaining tumor in his abdominal area, wich Delgado reports has significantly reduced in size.
Before the operation, Delgado received an outpouring of support during a recent broadcast of Playing Hard Ball on TeleOnce, where he is a panelist. colleagues and guest religious leaders offered prayers for his health and for others battling similar illnesses.
Visibly emotional, Delgado expressed his faith, stating, “I am very calm. From day one, I know that God is with me. God will be in that room and the risks will be reduced.”
While acknowledging the abdominal surgery as a positive step,Delgado emphasized that his cancer treatment is ongoing. The disease has also affected his liver, requiring continued focus. “I am very confident that I am going to go well for that operation, but that does not end. We still have to continue working with the liver cancer part,” he explained.
Delgado recently shared encouraging progress in his abdomen, with only one tumor remaining. Though, he noted the response in his liver has been slower.Despite this, he remains determined and hopeful. He plans to aggressively pursue treatment for the liver cancer following the abdominal surgery, stating, “After the operation, we are going to put everything into treatment to attack cancer in the liver. In the end it will be what God wants, but I still have a faith that gave me this good news.”
Delgado has asked for continued prayers from the public, recognizing the challenges his body faces in responding to treatment. “That’s why I ask you, now with more force, pray for my health as we have the earliest part,” he pleaded.
