Alcaraz Celebrates second Year-End​ No.1 Ranking, Credits Team and Fans

TURIN, ITALY – Carlos‍ Alcaraz secured the ‌ATP Year-End No. ‍1 presented‌ by PIF honours⁢ on Thursday,marking the second consecutive year he has​ finished the season atop the menS tennis rankings. The 20-year-old Spaniard clinched the achievement with ⁢a victory over Andrey Rublev at the Nitto ATP Finals,improving to‌ 3-0 in ⁢round-robin play.Lorenzo Musetti‘s win over Holger Rune also contributed to⁢ alcaraz’s ​confirmation as year-end ⁤No. 1.

Alcaraz, who ‍first earned the distinction in 2022, ⁤emphasized the collaborative nature of his success, stating, “Being the No. 1 of the world is something that I’m working really hard for with my team every ⁣day. It‌ is‌ indeed a goal.⁢ But ⁣I think it is a journey that you’re not going through alone. It’s with​ your whole team,⁢ with your‌ family, ⁢with your close people behind you always supporting you in the⁤ tough ⁤and good moments.” He noted the consistency of his team, adding some new members to​ celebrate‍ the achievement.

The ATP Chairman Andrea gaudenzi ‌and Head of Corporate Brand and Strategic Advisory at PIF Mohamed Alsayyad presented Alcaraz with the trophy.Alcaraz​ is now ​focused on securing ​his first Nitto ATP Finals title, having already qualified‍ for the semi-finals were ‍he ‍will face either Alexander Zverev or Felix ​Auger-Aliassime on ⁤Saturday.⁤

Beyond his on-court ambitions, Alcaraz expressed deep gratitude for the ⁣unwavering ⁢support of fans worldwide. “I want to continue because the support that ⁣I’m receiving everywhere that I’m going, I can’t thank ​enough the people,” he ⁣said. “We’re traveling since‍ the⁢ 1st of January until​ the end of⁣ November… and the people ⁣are always the same. The great energy, the great atmosphere, I feel the love‍ everywhere that I’m going.” He dedicated the trophy to his supporters, acknowledging their crucial⁢ role ‍in his victories.
