Al-Set Mona Lisa: Release Date, Episode 12 Delay & Cast Updates

The production company of the Egyptian television drama “Al-Set Mona Lisa,” starring Mai Omar, has apologized for postponing the broadcast of episode 12, citing the death of Omar’s father. The delay was announced on February 28, 2026, according to reports from Al-Masry Al-Youm and Masrawy.

The series, which premiered during Ramadan 2026, follows Mona Lisa, a woman who finds her expectations of marital bliss shattered upon arriving in Cairo. As described by Shahid MBC, the narrative centers on a marriage “built on hidden conditions,” with a husband focused on personal gain and a family viewing her as a prize. The first episode, available on YouTube, depicts Mona Lisa’s disillusionment after believing she was entering a loving union.

Episode 11, which aired prior to the postponement, featured Mona Lisa’s release from prison and the beginning of a new chapter, according to Masrawy. The episode saw her reconnecting with her cousin, Walaa, who attempted to reconcile her with her ex-husband, Hassan, played by Ahmed Magdy. But, Mona Lisa rejected the attempt and departed.

“Al-Set Mona Lisa” airs on MBC Egypt at 11:00 PM local time, with a rebroadcast at 3:00 PM the following day, Masrawy reported. The production company has indicated that the forthcoming episodes will continue to unfold dramatic events, though a new air date for episode 12 has not yet been announced.

Recent scenes from the series, as reported by Masrawy, have depicted a lighthearted interaction between Hazem Ehab and Ahmed Magdy, suggesting ongoing developments within the storyline.
