Al-Nassr Claims Top Spot in Saudi League Following Victory Over Al-Ettifaq

RIYADH – Al-Nassr surged to the top of the Saudi League table after a 2-0 victory against Al-Ettifaq on Friday. Goals from Senegalese star Sadio Mané in the 52nd minute and Spanish defender Iñigo Martínez in the 81st minute secured the win for Al-Nassr, pushing them to six points in the standings.

The result marks a significant early lead for Al-Nassr in the league, while Al-Ettifaq remains without points, sitting in 17th place. Despite a late penalty possibility for Al-Ettifaq in the 87th minute, goalkeeper Raghed Al-Najjar’s save preserved Al-Nassr’s clean sheet and solidified their position at the league’s summit. This victory sets the stage for a competitive season as other top Saudi clubs vie for the championship title.
