Al -Marsad Newspaper: Dust Storm Rates Decrease by 53% in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH – A⁤ notable decline⁤ in reported⁣ cases has been observed during the first seven months‌ of ⁢the year,⁤ according to data presented by Al-qahtani. The⁢ rate⁤ of decrease varied monthly, ⁤starting with an 80% reduction‌ in January, followed by 40%‍ in February, and 75% in‌ March. April ‍and May saw⁣ decreases of 41% and 40% respectively, while June experienced a ⁤59% decline. The downward trend continued in July with a 41% reduction in cases.

Al-Qahtani‌ attributed this ⁤enhancement⁣ to comprehensive national efforts focused on environmental initiatives, particularly the⁣ Saudi Green Initiative. These efforts include rainfall enhancement ⁢projects, vegetation increase programs, regulation of⁤ overflowing water sources, and the protective role ⁣of ‍royal reserves in ⁤safeguarding environmental⁤ systems. ⁣ Positive climatic shifts in ⁣air mass patterns have also contributed to improved air quality and a reduction in dust sources, Al-Qahtani noted.
