AJ Allmendinger Evaluated & Released After COTA Race Medical Check

AJ Allmendinger was evaluated and released from the infield care center at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) following a medical incident after Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race, NASCAR.com reported.

The incident occurred after the conclusion of the race, which was won by Tyler Reddick, marking the third consecutive victory for 23XI Racing, co-owned by Michael Jordan. Details surrounding the initial medical concern were initially unclear, but video footage showed Allmendinger being stretchered off pit road, according to On3.

Both Allmendinger and Alex Bowman required medical attention at COTA, Jayski’s NASCAR Silly Season Site reported. The nature of Bowman’s medical issue was not immediately disclosed.
