March 24, 2026 Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor Entertainment

Japanese singer AiNA THE END and dancer REiKA have publicly expressed their appreciation for Taiwan following performances at the Dajia Riverbank Park concert in Taipei, generating a wave of positive response from Taiwanese fans.

AiNA THE END, who headlined the concert on the Goddess Dragon stage, shared a video on her official Instagram account showcasing the enthusiastic sing-along during her encore performance. She accompanied the post with a heartfelt message: “I love Taiwan,” and announced plans to return to Taiwan for another performance in May. The post garnered over 30,000 likes, with numerous fans responding in Japanese to express their gratitude and excitement for her upcoming return.

REiKA, who performed alongside AiNA THE END, also took to the social media platform threads to praise the concert and its audience. “The singing and cheers were truly amazing,” she wrote. “I am deeply honored to have been able to stand on such a wonderful stage as a dancer.” She concluded her post with a message in Chinese: “Thank you! I love Taiwan!” The post quickly received over 10,000 likes within three hours of being published.

The official Twitter account of the Kaohsiung City Government responded to REiKA’s post, extending a welcome for future performances in Kaohsiung. Taiwanese fans have flooded social media with messages of appreciation, many responding in Japanese and English to express their gratitude for the artists’ enthusiasm.

The enthusiastic reception from both artists and fans has sparked online discussions among Taiwanese audiences, with some noting the high level of Japanese language proficiency demonstrated by concertgoers – a phenomenon dubbed “Taiwanese fans’ average Japanese level is N1” (referencing the highest level of the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test).
