Polish Journalist Claims Inclusion on “Victims List” as Dancer Pursues Legal Action
WARSAW, POLAND – Polish journalist Rafał Patyra has publicly responded to a pre-trial notice from dancer Agnieszka Kaczorowska with a sardonic claim of joining a “list of male victims,” escalating a dispute stemming from on-air commentary.Kaczorowska is demanding a formal apology and financial compensation following remarks made on Telewizja Republika, a Polish television station.
The conflict began after Patyra and other commentators on Telewizja Republika discussed Kaczorowska’s personal life, with one commentator comparing her to a “serial killer” regarding relationships. Kaczorowska responded by sending a pre-trial call to the station and Patyra, accusing them of violating her personal rights. She is seeking the removal of the program segment from all distribution channels, a written and on-air apology from both the station and Patyra, and a PLN 10,000 (approximately $2,400 USD) donation to the Fiors Foundation.
Patyra, who was previously embroiled in controversy regarding infidelity, reacted to the notice with a statement to Blaskonline.pl: “I don’t personally know Agnieszka Kaczorowska, but I don’t feel safer because of that. Quiet the opposite! After all, I just joined the list of men’s victims of the ruthless dancer. When I picked up and read the call, I died laughing! And Mrs. Agnieszka now has me on my conscience.”
Kaczorowska’s legal team has indicated they will pursue the matter in court if Telewizja Republika and Patyra do not meet her demands within seven days. The case highlights growing concerns over public discourse and the protection of personal rights in Polish media.
