Kehl to Host After-Work Gathering on Marktplatz, September 18th
Kehl Marketing is rescheduling its inaugural After-Work event for Thursday, September 18th, offering residents and visitors a new chance to unwind and connect in the city center. Originally planned for late August but postponed due to unfavorable weather forecasts, the event will transform the Marktplatz into a lively social hub as the workday ends.
The initiative, born from discussions with local retailers and restaurateurs, aims to revitalize the Marktplatz and foster a stronger sense of community. From 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, attendees can enjoy music, refreshments, and conversation around the “Gespielin von Vater Rhein” monument. ”The idea is to create a platform where people can meet and exchange ideas,” explains antje Lenz, Tourism Director for Kehl Marketing. The event is open to anyone in the pedestrian zone during after-work hours, and its success will determine whether similar gatherings become a regular Thursday tradition. Kehl Marketing hopes the collaboration between local businesses and the city will breathe new life into the Marktplatz.
