Affari Tuoi: Luca Loses €100K in Fast-Paced Episode with Stefano De Martino

A last-minute schedule adjustment, prompted by the launch of the PrimaFestival 2026, compressed Saturday’s episode of the popular Rai 1 game show Affari Tuoi to just 30 minutes, impacting the pace of the program and leaving one contestant with a significant near-miss.

The shortened runtime was necessitated by the debut of the PrimaFestival pre-show, hosted by Ema Stokholma, Carolina Rey, and Manola Moslehi, which extended the evening’s programming schedule and cut into Affari Tuoi’s allotted airtime. Host Stefano De Martino acknowledged the change at the start of the program, promising a “flash” episode.

The episode featured Luca from Genoa and his partner Giulia. Early in the game, a package containing €300,000 was immediately eliminated, setting a challenging tone for the remainder of the round. Despite the early setback, a package containing €100,000 remained in play for a significant portion of the game, representing the highest remaining value among the predominantly blue, lower-value packages.

A brief performance by Martina Miliddi, dressed in a nautical-themed outfit, provided a momentary diversion. Luca then strategically exchanged package number 8 for package number 12, a move that proved successful as package 8 contained only €1.

The final decision came down to a choice between the remaining €100,000 package and a package containing just €50. The “Doctor,” a recurring character on the show known for offering cash buyouts, proposed €33,000. Giulia expressed a strong feeling that the €100,000 was in the other package, and Luca ultimately accepted the offer, deeming it a worthwhile sum given the circumstances. However, the couple’s package did, in fact, contain the €100,000.

Affari Tuoi will be temporarily suspended for coverage of the closing ceremonies of the Olympics. The program is scheduled to return on Monday, before a longer hiatus coinciding with the duration of the Sanremo Music Festival 2026. Recent reports indicate that Rai is considering De Martino as a potential host for the 2027 edition of Sanremo, though Director General Roberto Sergio has publicly downplayed these suggestions, stating that the idea originated as a joke. Despite the official denial, speculation persists, with some observers noting De Martino’s growing prominence within Rai’s programming lineup, including the confirmed return of Stasera tutto è possibile.

A report from November 2024, featured on RaiPlay’s “La volta buona,” highlighted the ongoing discussion surrounding De Martino’s potential role at Sanremo. The program noted that De Martino had discussed the possibility in an interview with Vanity Fair.
