Aerosmith Announce Hollywood Bowl Comeback Shows With All-Star Guests
Following a three-year hiatus after scrapping their final tour due to Steven Tyler suffering a larynx injury, Aerosmith have announced two comeback shows at L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl on October 29 and November 1, sharing the stage with an extensive roster of guest artists.
California, Dream On: Aerosmith and Friends Lineup and Ticket Details
The upcoming Los Angeles concerts are titled California, Dream On: Aerosmith and Friends, Rolling Stone reported. Along with the Black Crowes, Run-DMC, Heart, Andrew Watt, Billy Idol, Chad Smith, Slash, Duff McKagan, Eric Church, Sammy Hagar, and Tom Morello, the group will be joined by additional special guests. According to the concert announcement, the lineup will vary each night and final nightly lineups will be announced at or near showtime. General ticket sales begin on October 10.
On May 1, 2023, Aerosmith announced plans for a 40-date North American Peace Out farewell tour. Guitarist Joe Perry told the Associated Press at the time that it was about time, noting that they never knew how much longer everybody would be healthy enough to do it. Drummer Joey Kramer sat out that tour to focus on family and health, with John Douglas filling in on drums.

The Larynx Injury That Halted the Peace Out Tour
The Peace Out tour kicked off in Philadelphia on September 2, 2023, featuring a setlist combining hits like Love in an Elevator, Sweet Emotion, and Dream On with deeper cuts including Adam’s Apple, Hangman’s Jury, and No More No More. However, the run came to a halt just two shows later following a performance in Elmont, New York, where Steven Tyler sustained an injury to his larynx. Initial plans to postpone dates eventually gave way to a full cancellation.
In their official retirement statement, the band explained the reality of the situation. As they stated, Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other, and despite months of tireless work with the best medical team by his side, a full recovery from his vocal injury was not possible. They called the decision to retire from the touring stage a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, one made as a band of brothers.
Band Members Pursue Solo Projects and Charity Shows
In the years following the tour cancellation, Tyler maintained a low profile while occasionally performing at special events, such as Janie’s Fund charity shows and Ozzy Osbourne’s Back to the Beginning farewell concert in July 2025, singing without apparent difficulty. Meanwhile, Joe Perry focused on the Joe Perry Project, launching a fall 2025 tour featuring Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford, Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, and Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo. Concurrently, bassist Tom Hamilton toured and recorded with his new band Close Enemies.
Aerosmith also ventured into new recorded music, teaming up with Yungblud in November 2025 for the collaborative EP One More Time. Tyler recounted meeting Yungblud to Rolling Stone UK, describing an instant connection and calling him a brother from another mother.
It was, like, insane, meeting him for the first time. I fucking fell in love with him, first sight. All I could think of was – dare I say something that’s been used to death? – he was like a brother from another mother. It was like looking at myself in the mirror. Like: ‘Wait, where have I seen this fucking guy before?’
