ADNOC Gas Project to Bring Natural Gas to All Emirates by 2026
ABU DHABI - ADNOC Gas is on track to complete a major project extending natural gas delivery infrastructure to all of the United Arab Emirates by 2026, the company announced this week. The initiative is a key component of ADNOC’s broader strategy to considerably increase gas production and meet the nation’s growing energy demands.
This expansion aims to boost the production capacity of gas and gas liquids by 30% between 2023 and 2029. ADNOC Gas anticipates adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization will increase by over 40% during the same timeframe. The project underscores the UAE’s commitment to energy security and economic diversification, impacting industries from manufacturing to residential consumers across all seven emirates.
The company is currently undertaking several key development projects to achieve these goals, including the “Integrated Gas Development Project,” the “Rich Gas Development Project,” the “Meram” project focused on ethane recovery and liquefaction, and the “Ruwais Liquefied Natural Gas” project.
During a recent briefing following an ADNOC Board of Directors meeting at the Habshan Complex, ADNOC Gas CEO highlighted the importance of a new agreement with Emsteel. This agreement will ensure a stable and reliable supply of low-emission natural gas to support Emsteel’s operations and future expansion.
