The Adare Manor Opportunity Maiden Hurdle is scheduled to take place at Leopardstown Racecourse in Ireland on Monday, March 2, 2026, with a prize fund of €7,800. Sixteen runners are currently entered in the 2m race, which is open to horses aged four and older.

Among the contenders is Calm Flight Ahead, a five-year-classic carrying 11-12 in weight and to be ridden by Tiernan Power Roche, trained by P.J. Rothwell. The horse previously failed to complete in three points races before switching to hurdles. Cock And Bull, also aged five and carrying the same weight, is a fairly useful Flat winner, but has performed modestly in two hurdle races, finishing fifth in a maiden at Navan 22 days prior. Cornelious Ab, an eight-year-old, will make a belated hurdle debut, having shown no promise in previous point-to-point races. Ehteyat, a seven-year-old, is considered a likely contender, having delivered a much-improved performance over hurdles with a third-place finish in a Thurles maiden in January, followed by a respectable showing on an All-Weather Flat track.

Keep Em Quite, a five-year-old, has placed in its last two point-to-point starts, with the most recent on January 11. Leni’s Law, a seven-year-old, finished sixth in a maiden hurdle at Thurles 25 days ago and will race over a shorter distance. Lord De Choisel, a five-year-old gelding, is a brother to a French hurdler and a half-brother to a French chaser, prompting a recommendation for a market check before the race.

The going at Leopardstown is currently described as soft to heavy for hurdles and yielding to soft for chases. The race is scheduled to initiate at 14:55 local time and will be broadcast on RTV.
