Châteaubourg: Adapted Physical Activity Practice Transitions Ownership, Expands Services
Châteaubourg residents seeking specialized fitness programs have a new resource as “De Pas APA” takes the reins of an established adapted Physical activity (APA) practice. The changeover, effective September 1st, sees Quentin Brice, co-manager of de Pas APA, continuing services previously offered by Laura Meneust for the past three and a half years.
The transition ensures continued access to APA for individuals with pathologies - including chronic diseases like obesity, back pain, cancer, and respiratory illnesses – and also those with handicaps or seeking to overcome sedentary lifestyles. Brice, a graduate with a master’s degree in suitable physical activities, will operate from 8, rue Maréchal Leclerc, building on Meneust’s legacy and expanding the program’s reach.
De Pas APA’s approach begins with a complete assessment, factoring in doctor’s prescriptions when available. Sessions are one hour long, typically split between cardio and targeted muscle strengthening exercises tailored to each patient’s needs. Brice offers individual or small group sessions (two to three people) and can accommodate limited mobility with a removable structure within the practice.
while sessions are not currently covered by Social security, some mutual insurance plans may offer reimbursement. Interested individuals can contact De Pas APA at 06 18 32 38 04 or via email at [email protected] More facts is available at www.depasapa.fr.
