Abbas and Moroccan Prince Discuss Gaza Crisis and Bilateral Ties
Doha, Qatar – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met with Prince Moulay Rachid, the personal representative of King Mohammed VI of morocco, on Monday, September 15th, in Doha, Qatar, during the extraordinary Arab and Islamic summit. The meeting, reported by the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, focused on the escalating crisis in the Gaza Strip and strengthening the relationship between Palestine and Morocco.
President Abbas briefed Prince moulay Rachid on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, detailing the intensity of the ongoing military operations. He emphasized the Palestinian government’s efforts to halt the Israeli offensive and secure a complete withdrawal of Israeli forces.
The Palestinian leader also highlighted the urgent need to ensure the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and to address the increasing violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, perpetrated by Israeli forces and settlers.
Beyond the immediate crisis, the discussion extended to the longstanding ties between Palestine and Morocco.Both leaders affirmed the strong fraternal bonds between their nations and explored avenues for further collaboration and strengthening their relationship.
This meeting takes place as King Mohammed VI, in his role as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, actively monitors the situation and pursues diplomatic solutions to support the Palestinian cause.
