A-mei Zhang performs “Iron Man” as Lin Zhisheng Bids Farewell to Basketball
TAIPEI, sept. 6 – Taiwanese singer Zhang Huimei, known as A-mei, delivered a powerful rendition of her hit song “Iron Man” tonight as basketball veteran Lin Zhisheng played what is expected to be his final professional game. The performance served as a moving tribute to Lin Zhisheng’s illustrious career, drawing a visibly emotional response from the player and a standing ovation from the crowd.
Lin Zhisheng is retiring after a long and celebrated career. throughout the evening, he expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering support of his fans, acknowledging their applause as a source of strength.”For any encouragement, he will keep it in his heart and continue to move forward,” Lin Zhisheng said. “The end of his career is not the end,it is indeed another beginning.” He also spoke on behalf of his teammates, urging fans, “Every player needs your support and encouragement, please don’t be stingy wiht your applause.”
Prior to the retirement series,Lin Zhisheng playfully predicted he would cry on the 5th and 6th of September,but vowed to remain composed on the 7th. Addressing the audience, he asked, “Will you come tomorrow?” anticipating his final swing, run, and defensive stand, and expressing his desire to dedicate it to everyone.
