Xiaomi HyperOS: Known Bugs & Fixes – Weekly Update (March 2026)

Xiaomi has acknowledged a series of software issues affecting its HyperOS operating system, ranging from application crashes to connectivity problems, in its latest weekly report released on March 4, 2026. The company confirmed fixes for several bugs and outlined ongoing investigations into others impacting both HyperOS 2 and HyperOS 3.

Users of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G experienced issues with the Gemini app failing to launch due to a system animation incorrectly blocking Google services. Xiaomi resolved the problem with a system update, urging users to ensure their devices are running the latest software version.

A content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure issue in Thailand caused camera applications on the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 14T, and Xiaomi 15T to freeze upon startup. Xiaomi has switched to a fresh network provider to rectify the problem, restoring camera functionality.

Poco F6 users reported experiencing echo during voice chat in games. This was traced to incorrect audio parameter settings preventing echo cancellation from activating. Xiaomi confirmed a fix is slated for inclusion in the next software update.

Beyond these primary issues, Xiaomi detailed a number of bugs that have already been addressed. These include system freezes on the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G, failures to display incoming calls on the Xiaomi 13T and Poco X7 Pro, unexpected restarts on the Poco X7 Pro, non-functional NFC on the Xiaomi 14T Pro, errors with the freescale tool in the gallery editor on the Xiaomi 14T Pro, 15T Pro, and 15T, crashes of WhatsApp on the Poco C65 and Redmi 13C, app permission-related crashes on the Redmi Note 13 Pro, Messenger crashes on the Xiaomi 12C, translation errors on the home screen of the Xiaomi 15T Pro, and connectivity or slow internet issues on the Poco M6 Plus 5G and Redmi 13 5G. Problems with a games emulator launching correctly on the Poco X7 Pro have also been resolved.

The company recommends all users install the latest software updates to benefit from these fixes. Users continuing to encounter issues are advised to await the next scheduled update. Xiaomi also provides a channel for users to report problems directly.

The HyperOS 3 rollout is currently underway across a range of Xiaomi devices, according to a release tracker published by MIUI ROM. The Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Dimensity, 12S, 12S Pro, 12S Ultra, 12T, and 12T Pro are all receiving or are scheduled to receive the update in the first quarter of 2026. The Xiaomi 13, 13 Lite, 13 Pro, 13 Ultra, 13T, and 13T Pro are also included in the rollout schedule. More recent models, including the Xiaomi 14, 14 Civi, 14 Pro, 14 Pro Ti Satellite, and 14 Ultra, have already received the update. The Xiaomi 15, 15 Pro, and 15 Ultra are also listed as having received the update.

Recent discussion on Reddit indicates some users have experienced negative consequences following the update to HyperOS, including rapid battery drain and issues with charging functionality. One user reported that turbo charging was removed, replaced with slower quick charge capabilities.
