Tax Software: Save Time with Consistent Digital Declarations

The Italian Revenue Agency has released a suite of software tools designed to streamline the 2025 tax declaration process for individuals and businesses, according to announcements this week. The tools cover a wide range of tax obligations, from standard income declarations to specialized filings for businesses operating within free trade zones.

The agency is offering software for compiling various tax forms, including the 730 for employees and pensioners, and the Modello Redditi PF for self-employed individuals. Software is as well available for corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations. A key feature of the updated software package is the inclusion of control tools designed to identify anomalies in submitted declarations, accessible through Fisconline/Entratel or for users without direct access.

This year, taxpayers can utilize pre-compiled declarations for the 730, Modello Redditi PF, and 730 with joint filing, simplifying the process by automatically populating forms with information already held by the tax authorities. The agency emphasized that the software aims to reduce errors and save time for taxpayers.

Beyond standard income tax filings, the agency’s software also addresses specific tax incentives and obligations. Tools are available for managing building renovation and energy efficiency projects, including those eligible for the Superbonus scheme. Software also supports the filing of returns related to free trade zones (ZES) and logistical zones (ZLS), as well as applications for charitable donations and various tax regime options, such as tonnage tax and consolidated national regimes.

The agency’s website lists software for completing the annual VAT group adhesion and variation (Iva 26) and the unified certification (Certificazione unica 2026). Specific software is also available for the declaration of digital services tax (SDT) and for monthly purchase declarations required for non-taxable entities and farmers.

The release of these tools comes as the Italian government continues to modernize its tax system, aiming for greater efficiency and transparency. The agency has not yet announced a specific date for the completion of the software’s rollout or a timeline for addressing any potential technical issues reported by users.
