inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories. – Release Date, Pre-Orders & Nintendo Switch Showcase News
Tokyo, Japan – Nagai Industries, in partnership with Beep Japan Inc., today confirmed the April 30, 2026, release date for inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories, a cozy simulation game set in a 1990s Japanese convenience store. The game will launch simultaneously on PC, Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox platforms, following a successful showcase at the Nintendo Switch Spring Showcase.
The announcement builds on momentum generated during Steam Next Fest in February 2026, where a trailer for the game was featured by Valve. inKONBINI places players in the role of Makoto Hayakawa, a college student managing her aunt’s Honki Ponki konbini in a quiet rural town. Gameplay centers around the routine tasks of stocking shelves, interacting with customers, and making choices that impact their lives.
Developers emphasize the game’s focus on creating a relaxing and immersive experience through ASMR-inspired sound design, replicating the subtle sounds of a working konbini – the rustling of packaging, the hum of refrigeration, and ambient weather. The game aims to evoke a sense of nostalgia and connection through everyday interactions.
Physical editions of inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories are now available for pre-order for both Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. A Standard Edition will be offered, alongside a Limited Edition featuring exclusive collectibles.
The Limited Edition includes a “Honki Ponki’s Welcome Package” containing a welcome letter from the developers, a Honki Ponki ID lanyard with Makoto’s employee ID, an employee handbook notebook, a memo pad with sticky notes, a shift schedule stamp card, and a sticker sheet featuring Makoto emotes. It also includes the original soundtrack on cassette tape, a physical copy of the Yojoki Masters manga, a Yojoki Masters gacha toy, and a special collector’s box designed as a konbini delivery.
inKONBINI features a “cozy, routine-driven store experience” with light storekeeping mechanics, narrative-focused interactions with branching dialogue, a nostalgic early 1990s Japanese atmosphere, collectible capsule toys, and a soothing ASMR-inspired soundscape, according to a release.
Nagai Industries, a Tokyo-based independent studio, describes its mission as crafting “heartfelt, human-centered interactive experiences” inspired by Japanese culture and everyday nostalgia. Beep, the publisher, is expanding its reach beyond Japan to bring PC and console games to a global audience.
