Marvel’s Spider-Man: Animated Series – Cast & Crew Congratulations

Marvel Studios has received an Emmy Award for its animated series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the studio announced Tuesday. The series won in the category of Outstanding Voice Directing for an Animated Series at the Children’s and Family Emmy Awards.

The Disney+ series, which premiered January 29, 2025, is based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man and is the twelfth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man distinguishes itself within the MCU by presenting an alternate timeline where Norman Osborn mentors Peter Parker instead of Tony Stark, exploring Parker’s origins and early experiences as a superhero.

Hudson Thames voices Peter Parker / Spider-Man in the series, reprising his role from the earlier Marvel Studios animated series, What If…? The voice cast likewise includes Kari Wahlgren, Grace Song, Eugene Byrd, Zeno Robinson, Colman Domingo, Hugh Dancy, and Charlie Cox. Jeff Trammell created the series and serves as showrunner, with Mel Zwyer as supervising director.

The series consists of ten episodes, each running between 29 and 33 minutes in length. It is produced by Marvel Studios Animation, with Jeff Trammell, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, Louis D’Esposito, Kevin Feige, and Brad Winderbaum serving as executive producers. Danielle Costa and Tim Pauer are producers, and Rick Glenn is an animator, with Alexander Wu and Hannah Long as editors.

Marvel Studios did not specify further details regarding the award or future plans for the series.
