Warriors’ Moody Suffers Multiple Injuries | NBA News

Golden State Warriors shooting guard Moses Moody has sustained a series of injuries over the past several years, the most recent being a knee injury reported on February 2, 2026, according to team records.

The Warriors announced on July 19, 2025, that Moody underwent surgery to repair a torn ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right thumb. The injury had prompted him to wear a wrap on his hand late in the previous season, according to reports.

Prior to the thumb injury, Moody experienced a calf strain in October 2025. Dr. Geoffrey Abrams, an orthopedic surgeon at Stanford Medicine, assessed the injury, noting “some microscopic tearing and minor partial tearing” of the muscle. Abrams indicated the nature of the tear suggested a potentially manageable recovery period.

Moody’s injury history also includes a back issue reported on February 7 and February 4, 2025, as well as a knee injury on January 8, 2025. Further knee injuries were recorded on December 28 and December 10, 2024, and December 6, 2024. A knee injury was also reported on March 21, 2024, and a calf injury on January 11, 2024.

Earlier injuries in Moody’s career include an eye injury on December 24, 2021, and a period of time spent in the NBA’s Health and Safety Protocols. Injuries were also reported on October 30, 2025 (thumb), and October 19, 2025 (calf).

As of March 3, 2026, the Warriors have not announced a timeline for Moody’s return following the February 2nd knee injury.
