Oasis has contributed a live recording of its 1995 B-side “Acquiesce” to HELP(2), a charity compilation album benefiting War Child UK, set for release this Friday, March 6. The track, captured during the band’s final performance of a seven-night residency at London’s Wembley Stadium on September 28, 2025, will be available as a standalone seven-inch vinyl single alongside the vinyl edition of the album, and as a hidden track on the two-CD version. It marks the first official physical release of a live recording from the band’s 2025 reunion tour, and will also appear on streaming platforms.
The inclusion of Oasis on HELP(2) revisits a longstanding relationship with the War Child organization. The band opened the original HELP album in 1995 with their song “Fade Away,” a project assembled in a single day on September 4, 1995, featuring a constellation of prominent U.K. Artists including Paul McCartney, Radiohead, Massive Attack, and Blur. Proceeds from that initial effort supported War Child’s work providing aid to those affected by conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a region then embroiled in intense fighting.
HELP(2) boasts a diverse lineup of contemporary artists, including Olivia Rodrigo, who covers The Magnetic Fields, and contributions from Geese’s Cameron Winter, Arooj Aftab and Beck, Arlo Parks, beabadoobee, Portishead’s Beth Gibbons (performing a cover of The Velvet Underground), Big Thief, King Krule, and Sampha. Notably, the album also features a novel song from Arctic Monkeys, their first since 2022. NME reports the album was primarily recorded during a week-long session at Abbey Road Studios in London last November, with production led by James Ford, known for his work with Arctic Monkeys and Gorillaz.
The release of HELP(2) arrives as Oasis continues to navigate the aftermath of their highly anticipated 2025 reunion. Even as details regarding future releases from the tour remain scarce, the inclusion of “Acquiesce” suggests a potential strategy of selectively releasing live material. Rolling Stone Australia confirms pre-orders for the album are now available.
