Mumford & Sons SNL: Hozier, Aaron Dessner & Sierra Ferrell Join Performance

Mumford & Sons surprised audiences Saturday night with a performance on Saturday Night Live featuring guest appearances from Hozier, producer Aaron Dessner and vocalist Sierra Ferrell, just days after the release of their latest album, Prizefighter.

The British trio began their set with “Rubber Band Man,” enhanced by Dessner’s electric guitar work. Hozier then joined them onstage to perform his vocal part from the studio recording of the song, marking his first major public appearance since concluding his “Unreal Unearth” tour in October 2025.

For their second song, “Here,” Mumford & Sons were joined by both Dessner and Ferrell. Notably, the Prizefighter version of “Here” features vocals by Chris Stapleton, who was performing a separate concert approximately two hours away in Uncasville, Connecticut, on the same night.

Beyond the musical performances, Mumford’s Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, and Ted Dwane participated in a comedic sketch centered around an awkward workplace dance, where they performed a portion of “Unchained Melody.”

The Saturday Night Live appearance followed a low-key, unamplified performance earlier in the week at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, a 500-capacity venue. That show featured a four-piece string section and additional singers accompanying the band.

Mumford & Sons are scheduled to embark on a world tour beginning April 24th in Melbourne.
