Ulrikke, Pernille & Ragnhild Launch Raw & Honest Motherhood Podcast or New Podcast: Norwegian Stars Share Unfiltered Motherhood Experiences

Oslo, Norway – Podimo is launching a new podcast, “Mammachatten” (The Mom Chat), on March 2nd, featuring Ulrikke Brandstorp, Pernille Molvær Maurstad, and Ragnhild Margrethe Grødal. The podcast aims to provide an unfiltered glance into the realities of motherhood.

The three hosts, described as well-known personalities in Norway, will discuss topics ranging from sleepless nights and automatic feeding routines to changes in the body, strains on relationships, financial pressures during parental leave, and the search for identity beyond motherhood. Brandstorp described a demand for a space where mothers could speak openly. “We missed a place where you can say what it is. Where you can laugh at the chaos, cry a little, disagree and still stand together,” she said in a press release.

“Mammachatten” will also feature a panel of experts, including a midwife, general practitioner, psychologist, sexologist, sleep consultant, and financial advisor, to address common questions and concerns. Maurstad emphasized the intention to create a judgment-free environment. “There is a lot of love in mom talk, but also a lot of guilt. We aim for to create a space without ‘mom-shaming’. No right answers, just experiences, and honest conversations about what actually happens after childbirth,” she stated.

The podcast will delve into previously untold birth stories, intimacy after childbirth, adjusting to a changed body, the economics of parental leave, and how relationships evolve with the arrival of a child. The hosts also envision “Mammachatten” extending beyond the podcast format, hoping to foster a community where mothers can connect and share experiences both online and offline. Grødal expressed this ambition, stating, “It’s easy to feel alone, even if you know you’re not. We hope ‘Mammachatten’ can become more than a podcast – a universe, a group of mothers who identify each other, share experiences and maybe also meet outside the podcast bubble. You are not just a listener. You are part of the mom chat.”

Stian Letessier, Head of Content at Podimo Norway, highlighted the hosts’ ability to articulate experiences many mothers share but often hesitate to discuss. “Ulrikke, Pernille and Ragnhild have a knack for putting words to what many people feel, but few talk about openly. They combine warmth and humor with a honesty that gives the conversations weight. That makes them strong voices in a podcast that should encompass the whole spectrum of becoming a mother – even what isn’t always so polished,” Letessier said.

New episodes of “Mammachatten” will be released every Monday, exclusively on Podimo.
