The recent cast of Broadway’s Hadestown officially began performances on September 3, 2025, marking the first time in the show’s six-year run that all five principal roles have been simultaneously recast, according to BroadwayWorld.com.
Disney star Morgan Dudley now portrays Eurydice, while West End performer Jack Wolfe takes on the role of Orpheus. Grammy Award-winner Kurt Elling is playing Hermes, and Tony Award-winner Paulo Szot embodies Hades. Broadway veteran Rebecca Naomi Jones completes the principal cast as Persephone.
The production, which retells the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice alongside the story of Hades and Persephone, has been running on Broadway for six years. Wolfe and Dudley have already garnered attention, with Wolfe receiving a shout-out from a fan on TikTok whose artwork he appreciated, as noted in an Instagram post from January 25, 2026. Dudley and Wolfe were also the subjects of artwork posted to Instagram on October 9, 2025.
BroadwayDirect.com reported on October 21, 2025, that much of Orpheus’s journey in Hadestown revolves around his relationship with Eurydice, played by Dudley.
