Little Rock Marathon: Run Arkansas | Races & Kids Marathon

by Emma Walker – News Editor

Little Rock, Arkansas, will host its 22nd annual marathon weekend February 27 through March 1, 2026, offering races for all skill levels, from a full marathon to a children’s race.

The event, named as one of Runner’s World’s “Bucket List: 10 Great Marathons for First-Timers” in 2017, includes a marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, and the Little Rockers Kids Marathon. Organizers emphasize the event’s welcoming atmosphere, highlighting “southern hospitality” and a volunteer base dedicated to supporting participants.

The Little Rock Marathon accommodates walkers, but enforces an eight-hour time limit for marathon participants, with potential for pre-approved early starts for those requiring additional time. The race course is designed as a tour through the streets of Arkansas’ capital city, and all finishers will receive a medal.

Registration for the 2026 race is currently open through Race Roster, and volunteer registration is similarly underway. Further details, including maps and participant tracking information, are available on the Little Rock Marathon website. The event also includes the Creep ‘N Crawl and Ugly Sweater Race, according to event listings.
